Guaranteed Tag African Gemsbok Hunts

In 1969, the New Mexico Dept. of Game and Fish transplanted this unique desert animal from the plains of Southwest Africa to the White Sands Missile Range in South Central New Mexico. Gemsbok venison is considered by many to be the best eating of all wild game. About a thousand tags are available on White Sands every year by the lottery drawing. The gemsbok population has exploded in recent years and their range has expanded onto several surrounding ranches. The Game Dept. now issues depredation gemsbok authorization to these landowners, which in turn sell them to outfitters. This hunt is guided one hunter per guide. Hunters stay in a motel and dine at their own expense. Because of this animals extreme resilience, we highly recommend 30 caliber or larger magnum rifles and bullets of solid construction. Dates: Year - Round on an on call basis (6 day hunt) Cost:  $2850 +$1000 kill fee
