Limited Entry African Gemsbock Hunts

The New Mexico Dept. of Game & Fish issues a little over 1000 tags a year for a “once-in-a-lifetime” gemsbok hunt on White Sands Missile Range. The Game Dept. also issues 60 “off range” tags for every month of the year to hunt gemsbok in the areas surrounding WSMR. White Sands Missile Range consists of over 3,000,000 acres of prime gemsbok habitat and is the home to approximately 4000 free ranging gemsbok. Gemsbok venison is considered by many to be the best eating of all wild game. This hunt is guided one hunter per guide. Hunters stay in a hotel and dine at their own expense. Because of this animals extreme resilience, we highly recommend a 30 caliber or larger magnum rifles and bullets of solid construction.
